I just returned from a whirlwind week in SoCal, and one of my favorite stops was Santa Monica! I enjoyed the sun, the food, and most importantly, Santa Monica’s most Instagrammable spots. For your viewing and Instagramming pleasure, check out these insta-worthy spots around Santa Monica!
Santa Monica’s Most Instagrammable Spots
1 ) Blue Plate Taco
Beach inspired decor, DELICIOUS food, and gorgeous drinks – what else could you want from an oceanside restaurant with a view? Located on Ocean Avenue inside the Shore Hotel, Blue Plate Taco is a great lunch stop. It also makes for a great stop after a long day for happy hour and the sunset. Fun fact: they really do have blue plates! Blue Plate Taco is a popular stop, so we recommend coming early if you want to get that Instagrammable photo.
2 ) Cora’s Coffee Shoppe
Cora’s Coffee Shoppe is a little off the beaten path, but it’s worth the walk or drive down for one of the Santa Monica’s most Instagrammable spots! While the actual restaurant is tiny, the outside seating is where it’s at. Its gorgeous greenery cover, a la NoMo SoHo makes you feel like you’re eating in a conservatory. Added bonus? Their vintage neon sign outside gives us all those vintage restaurant feels.
3 ) Santa Monica Pier
Santa Monica Pier is on every list of must-see Santa Monica attractions, and with good reason! The pier has it all – street performers, an arcade, fun rides, a carousel, food and drink galore, not to mention the best views of the beach at sunset.
4 ) Mercenary General Store
Get your girl power on at Mercenary General Store, one of Santa Monica’s cutest stores. This immaculately curated shop near Santa Monica Place sells books, stationary, gifts, and jewelry all about empowerment, pop culture, art, and everything in between. Get lost flipping through books, pick up a gift for your bestie, and snap some pics!
5 ) Santa Monica Postcard
This most Intagrammable spot in Santa Monica is brand new! On the side of Bloomingdales, mural artists @greetingstour painted a larger than life “Greetings from Santa Monica” postcard and it is the definition Instagram worthy. It’s not clear if this mural is a pop up or a permanent feature of Santa Monica, so go capture it for your Instagram while you can!
6 ) Ocean Avenue
This palm tree lined iconic street connects downtown Santa Monica to the pier, and is great for a leisurely stroll to see the sights and take some fabulous pictures. Ocean Avenue has the most Instagrammable palm trees in Santa Monica, views of the Pacific, and random oddities like the world famous Camera Obscura and plenty of Route 66 signs.
